Recent evidence shows that various biomolecules produced by microorganisms\u2014such as bacteriocins, vitamins, fatty acids, exopolysaccharides, and enzymes\u2014can boost the immune response and support the development of their hosts.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) stand out among the probiotics most widely used by the food and pharmaceutical industries, being recognized as safe by major regulatory bodies. However, it is well established that the beneficial effects of probiotics are host-specific and that specific bacterial strains are more efficient at producing particular biomolecules of interest.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"background-color: inherit;\">Against this backdrop, the Microbial Biomolecules Laboratory aims to develop and transfer technological solutions that generate direct value for society, particularly in the fields of health, nutrition, and sustainability. Its areas of activity include the production of antimicrobial compounds, such as bacteriocins and biosurfactants; the study and application of lactic acid bacteria, probiotics, and prebiotics; the advancement of precision nutrition; and the utilization of agro-industrial waste in fermentation processes, thereby contributing to production models that are more efficient, safe, and environmentally responsible.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-88ae983 elementor-widget__width-auto elementor-view-default elementor-widget
